With deep purple fruit when ripe Jostaberry plants are not widely grown in the UK, the botanical name is Ribes nidigrolaria and this is a cross between Blackcurrents and Goosberries. It is a thornless plant, sharp tasting fruit and best used for jams and tarts.

They are also self fertile, so you coukd just grow one to see if you like them'
